PEARL ENTERPRISES KFT.

Innovation is our driving force

„With the team of Pearl Enterprises Kft., we have set the primary goal to contribute to the improvement of road safety with our innovative and unique systems. Due to our wide product range, we can implement any traffic technology, traffic safety and transport technology solution. By installing our own SafeCross® smart pedestrian crossing® and other elements of the SafeCross® system, we can ensure the basic conditions for safe traffic for all road users.”

Eran Pearl – Founder, Chief Executive Officer

We create the necessary conditions for safe traffic.

„With our unique products and systems, road users can detect from afar when they approach a pedestrian crossing, a bicycle crossing, or a dangerous road section. Due to SafeCross® systems, both pedestrians and cyclists can cross car traffic with greater safety. Dangerous road sections and intersections (e.g., bends, roundabouts, etc.) can be seen from hundreds of meters.”

The installation of SafeCross® systems is also supported by the Hungarian Police, the National Accident Prevention Committee of the Hungarian Police Headquarters and Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt.

Devastating data

According to the statistics of the National Police Headquarters, in 2018 there were 1,079 cases of running over a pedestrian at the designated pedestrian crossings nationwide while there were 969 cases in 2019. 30 and 39 people were killed as a result of these accidents in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Unfortunately, the data on cyclists are also depressing; according to an EU statistic of 2017, Hungary has one of the highest fatal bicycle accidents per million inhabitants in the EU.

969 cases per year of running over a pedestrian, 39 of which ended in death

at designated pedestrian crossings.

INSUFFICIENT CONDITIONS

Road signs as well as road markings are often incomplete, worn, and in many cases not sufficient to ensure safe walking and cycling. Inadequate lighting of dangerous road sections and intersections (e.g., bends, roundabouts, etc.) and their perceptibility are common problems.

Careless road users

According to police statistics, three main factors can be highlighted as the cause of accidents: failure to give way, speeding and violation of turning rules. Most of the time, these lead to dangerous – often life-threatening – situations. The rules laid down in the HIGHWAY CODE are clear, but their application in daily traffic is problematic.

Solarway systems

Before tragedy happens…

SafeCross® smart pedestrian crossing®

Safecross - okoszebra

By installing our system, we can make any dangerous road section safe. We recommend equipping traditional pedestrian crossings with SafeCross® system near schools, hospitals, nursing homes and intersections that are difficult to see. But in generally, anywhere where car routes are crossed by pedestrians, SafeCross® system can be life-saving.

In addition to pedestrians, of course we also pay attention to other participants in traffic. By installing the elements of the SafeCross® system, we create the basic conditions for safe traffic for all members of the population. With our systems, cycle paths, roundabouts, lane markings, bends, U-turns, or decelerators can also be made more perceptible, i.e., safer.

Safecross® smart pedestrian crossing® operates in 134 hungarian sites

No accidents have occurred at the converted pedestrian crossings since 2016 (installation of the first system)
